01 What this service is

You are booking cinematics coaching: a one-hour, one-to-one lesson in how to film and edit your own training content, on your own phone, during your own workout.

This is not personal training. I am not a qualified personal trainer and I do not give programming, technique, form, nutrition or injury advice. Your training is entirely your own. If you want coaching on the lifting itself, speak to a qualified PT at Retro Flex.

02 Your training, your responsibility

You train at your own risk, under Retro Flex Gym's own membership terms and rules. I do not spot you, load your bar, select your weights or supervise your lifting, and nothing I say during a lesson should be taken as approval of what you're lifting or how.

If you feel unwell, injured or unsafe at any point, stop. The lesson can be paused or moved at no cost.

03 Filming, and who else is in shot

• We film your station only. Other members are not filmed without their explicit permission on the day.
• Retro Flex has approved these lessons and the filming that happens in them. Gym staff can ask us to stop filming at any time and we will.
• If you'd rather not appear on camera yourself, say so — plenty of the strongest gym content is hands, plates, silhouettes and shadows.

04 Your phone stays with you

You film your own clips. I direct the shot — where the phone goes, what to change, when to start recording — and the hands on it are yours.

If you'd like me to hold it for a shot, or you want a hand getting the settings right, ask and I will. Otherwise I leave it alone, and you can change your mind at any point without it affecting your lesson.

05 The footage is yours

Everything shot in your lesson is recorded on your phone and belongs to you. Post it, sell it, delete it — your call. I claim no ownership.

I will only repost your footage if you tag me or send it to me for that purpose. You can withdraw that permission at any time by messaging me, and I'll take it down.

On the Edited-for-you tiers I hold your footage only as long as it takes to cut the reel, and delete it within 30 days of delivery unless you ask me to keep it.

06 Paying, refunds and moving

Single lessons and Lesson + Reel

• Payment is taken when you book. Your receipt arrives by email straight away.
• Cancel any time before your lesson's start time and you get a full refund. Use the cancel link in your confirmation email. The refund goes back to your card automatically. You don't need to ask me or give a reason. Your bank usually shows it within 5–10 working days.
• Prefer to move it? Use the reschedule link in the same email, any time before the start time. Moving is free.
• Once your lesson has started, it can't be refunded. If you don't turn up and haven't cancelled, the lesson counts as used.
• If I cancel, for any reason, you get a full refund or a free rebooked slot. You choose.

Lesson packs

• Packs are valid for 12 weeks from the day you buy. Message me before yours runs out and I'll extend it if there's a good reason.
• Every lesson you haven't taken is refundable while the pack is valid. You get back the per-lesson price you paid for each one left. Say you bought 5 for £90 and took 2: you get £54 back (3 × £18).
• If your pack came with a free reel and I've already delivered it, £25 comes off the refund.
• Pack refunds aren't automatic. Message me and I'll refund your card within 3 working days.
• Cancelling a single pack lesson before it starts puts that lesson back in your pack.

Edited reels and gift vouchers

• Edited reels: full refund until you send me your footage. Once I've started editing, the reel isn't refundable. It's delivered within 72 hours of me receiving your footage, and one round of changes is included.
• Gift vouchers: the person who bought it can have a full refund until the lesson it pays for has started.

Your legal rights

UK law gives you 14 days to cancel a service you've bought online. For anything you haven't used yet, this policy gives you more than that. If you book a lesson for a date inside those 14 days, you're asking me to deliver it on that date, and you agree you can't get a refund once the lesson has taken place. You're asked to confirm this when you book.

07 Under 18s

If you are under 18, I need a parent or guardian to confirm by message that they're happy for you to be coached and filmed, before your first lesson. No confirmation, no lesson — no exceptions.

08 Your details

I keep only what I need to run your bookings: your name or Instagram handle, your email from the booking, and a record of which lessons you've taken. It isn't sold, shared or used for anything else. Ask me to delete it and I will, subject to keeping the payment records I'm legally required to keep.

09 Limits

I'm responsible for delivering the lesson you paid for, to a reasonable standard. I'm not responsible for how a piece of content performs, for your phone's storage, battery or its own faults, or for anything outside my reasonable control. Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for anything else that can't lawfully be excluded.
